I wish to offer my condolences to Carolyn's husband and family.  Carolyn was instrumental in forming the Zama Alumni Association.  She came to help me and Mariko on the first Zama reunion that Mariko and I planned in 1994.  Her enthusiasm and zest for the Zama Alumni Association helped bolster Mariko and my confidence in forming a strong foundation for the Zama Alumni Association.  Thanks Carolyn, for your support and friendship over the years.  I'm sure you and Mariko are having a ball like you did at our first reunion in Las Vegas.  Aloha, Al Miyatake

My Dad was transferred from TX to Japan and Carolyn was the first person I met in 5th grade.  We had seat assignments next to each other.  My memory is a bit hazy of this timeframe but I do remember Carolyn being very sweet, very friendly and always sharing her delicious grapes!  R.I.P.
