Chuck enlisted in the Army at the height of the Vietnam War and served in the 101st Airborne.  He was awarded a bronze star.  After he returned home, he attended and graduated from Hastings Law School.

He served as a legislative liaison for March Fung Eu, Secretary of State for California, and was actively working at Caltrans on the legal aspect of the Metro link.

Chuck passed away April 18, 1991, after his battle with leukemia.  He is survived by his wife, Linda, and son, Kevin.
