Ronald Alan Soots passed away at his home in Paso Robles on Tuesday, May 25, 2010.  He was 62 years of age.

Ron was born in September of 1947 in Pontiac, Michigan.  He had been a resident of Paso Robles for 15 years where he was employed at Lubrizol.  He loved baseball, softball, the lake and boating.

Ron was proud of his service to his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He served from 1966 to 1970, when he received an Honorable Discharge.

He is survived by Candice Soots, his wife of 27 years; his children Michelle, Brett and Brandi Soots; grandchildren Ashlee, Sunshine, Daisy and Benny; sisters Shirley Peterson and Jacque Soots Kolman ('65).  He was preceded in death by his son, Matt Soots.
