Gregory Lawson (1971)

I remember being friends with Bill Matheke in the late 1960's when he lived in Chuo Rinkan and I lived up the street in Minami Rinkan. We caught the bus to school at the same bus stop. I remember watching Rocky and Bullwinkle on his TV in Japanese; which he was far better at understanding. We were probably in the Boy Scouts together.  We would ride the trains from Shimo Kitazawa and occaisonally had to share money when someone was short. He will be missed.

I hadn't seen much of Bill after we moved, but I remember a suprizingly good conversation with his older brother Ed? at the Tachikawa airport when we were leaving Japan in 1971.
