ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hello, Zama alum!!  Is your name in the list?

All schoolmates can make a profile for themselves on this site.  It is simple and free of charge to all Alums and former/current faculty members!  Just go to "Missing Schoolmates" located at the bottom in the left-hand column and find your name.  If you can't find your name, please click on "Contact Us," tell us your name and your graduation year, and we'll add it as soon as possible.

Everyone - Once you go in, please check your profiles.  The data that we have is dated and you may not even be listed!  :)

Also, I've had feedback that some of the information was incorrect as well .. I apologize.  But help me fix it up and with everyone's help, I'm sure we'll have a database that will help you reconnect with old schoolmates!  And folks, if possible, put in the state and zip of where you live!  The interactive map you can see at the bottom is great fun!  (George Mosier - '71)

(If you have an event in your area,
let us know so we can post it for you.)

The site was created in July of 2009.  It is a new site and all names must be entered manually, a process which is still going on.  Even if you were a registered member on the former site, you will need to re-register on this one and make a new password.  As written above, if your name isn't listed, click on "Contact Us," tell us your name & your graduation year so we can add it right away.  Also, if you see that a friend's name is missing, please let us know.  Thank you for your patience and understanding!

For those of you who will be attending the 2010 Reunion in D.C. this summer, check out the events below!  You can also click on "2010 Reunion" for more details!

Summer 2010 Address from our President

Dear Alumni Members and fellow Trojans,

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who attended our 2010 All-Class Zama Reunion in Washington D.C. this July.

I wanted to especially reach out and send a big "Mahalo" to our alumni Treasurer, George Mosier, our Zama website guru and princess, Roberta Stott, and our site selection goddess, Georgine Luketic Lindseth, for their passion and continued leadership for our Association.

I would also like to acknowledge and thank the following alumni who all volunteered and made this reunion the very, very best:  Karen Bethel McCalla, Tina Holbrook Brown, Yoko June Pugh Savas, Debbie Shea Welch, Donald Taylor, Steve Miller, Lyle Bishop, Mark Dimon, William Kunkle, Ray Brice, Cynthia Lasko, Cherie Cole Harvey, Peggy Gerlack Freeman, Suzanne Miyasaki, Patty Revilla-Sharp, Marie Lani Revilla, Francis Stevens, Cindy Pemble Zook, Beverly Stallings Nielsen, Mark Kane, Renee Duplessis Morrison, Judy Cannon Mackey, Michelle Dethlefsen, Gloria Richardson Davis, Cris Nielsen Reed, Lucille Warner-Ng, Pat Ratliff McFadden, Maria Marbois Cohen, Rose Kitrinos Mori, Tracy Stubbs and the beautiful sexy voice of Sam Cassiano

And let's not forget our very own, George Kitrinos, who once again donated his genius talent for the design of this year's awesome T-shirt.

I felt as if everyone attending this reunion "bonded" much more closely with each other than at past reunions I've attended.  In a nutshell, it was like getting the extended family back together again for the weekend.

From the Association's humble beginnings of Al Miyatake and his late wife, Mariko, and the countless volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules past and present, we're definitely starting to build traction and momentum for our reunions and organization moving forward.

I was so happy to see the 1950 decade represented by Barbara Iverson Lovisone, class of 1959, and 2000 decade represented by Leslie Forrest, class of 2002, which I believe represents all decades for Zama High School's existence.

As we start to gear up for our 2012 San Francisco reunion which, by the way, was our runner-up city to Washington D.C. for this year's reunion site, I have some goals I would like our Association to reach:  First, to increase our paid membership to 1,000; second, to increase our alumni roster to 2,000; finally, to start a scholarship fund for a graduating Zama senior which we all know is invaluable.  Now, these are just my thoughts and I'm looking forward to hearing yours.

Your help, input and support is invaluable for the sustainability of our organization.  It is important that we all continue to communicate as a team and help support each other to build our Association for greater success.

Let's keep reaching out to fellow Zama schoolmates who have yet to be a part of our family.  Facebook, Twitter, email and our own ZAA website are all great tools for keeping in touch.  Hey, social media "rules"!

And for those of you who are interested in being more involved, please consider becoming a director, class representative or a decade rep.  Don't be shy... we want your help!  It's only an email away.

Please join us in making our Zama Alumni Association an organization that we can all be proud of and an organization that makes a difference for all of our current and future alumni.  Aloha and IMUA (go forward with spirit)!
