Daniel Brown - Class Of 1962

Daniel Brown died peacefully on the morning of January 13, 2019, surrounded by loved ones.

He was the son of Lt. Col. Daniel Bleakley Brown, Jr. and Evelyn (Cadwallader) Brown. Dan’s military experience began as an “army brat” in post WWII Japan and culminated with his own service in the army serving in the Vietnam War.

Dan had a long career with IBM followed by the formation of his own company, Market View Research. He was a pioneer in the development of touch screen applications.

He is best remembered for his patriotism and for affiliations with Roswell Masonic Lodge #165, where he served as Worshipful Master in 2002, during their 150th anniversary; the Alpharetta VFW 12002, and as a founding director for the Roswell Vietnam Memorial Faces of War.

Dan possessed an unbridled zest for life. He loved boating, riding Harleys, and he prided himself in having the latest tech gadgets, toys and vehicles.

A loving, kind, humble and generous man, Dan will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ted Brown. He will be lovingly remembered by his by wife Sheila, sister Deanna Bredwell and his sons Daniel (Blake) Brown IV and David Geraci, his daughters Heather Barclay, Kimberly Anderson and Molly Brown. Grandan will be missed by his granddaughters Jordan Barclay, Ashley Anderson and Jessica Anderson.

There was a celebration of Dan’s life on Thursday January 17th at Ingram Funeral home in Cumming, Ga. The interment followed at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, Ga.
