Greg Gauntz (Zama 66 graduate) died February 17, 2019. Greg was my best friend. We graduated at Zama High together, lived together for awhile, and for the last 40 years lived only 15 minutes apart. Naturally we spent a lot of time together. We saw eye to eye on so many things and had mutual interests that we enjoyed. I loved the man like a brother. His loss is immense, but memories are comforting. Greg was married for 48 years to Jane. He retired from the State of North Carolina approx 20 years ago after 30 years service working as a professional nurse.
