David was my next door neighbor at Kamiseya and we attended Zama high school together. We were teammates on the 1974 football team. Me and David did lots of things together, both good and bad. We even got together a few times when we both returned stateside. My best memories of David were as as my best friend.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I used to love his blonde hair swishing as he walked. He was a comic, no doubt.

I raced motocross with Dave. He was a happy fellow.

I recall Dave showing up to school with a black eye. Turns out he'd shot a Japanese Self Defense Force Gate Guard at Atsugi in the butt with his slingshot.  The result was a poke in the eye!

Dave was a fun guy and never ran from the trouble we all could get in. Dave, Doug Stringer, Rich Able and I were a crew in Japan in our freshman year.  I'll never forget the lunch table at the O-Club at Zama, some of the best times in my life. Hooked up with Dave a few times in Virginia and was shocked at his passing.  Miss him.
