Ray was one of my best friends at Zama. He, Ben Delmar, and I were often together - having the time of our lives. Ray - also known as Bill - survived Vietnam, as a US Marine officer, only to die tragically in a routine helicopter training exercise in Norway. I lost contact with Bill after we left Zama in '63 but will always remember what a good friend he was.
