John passed away on March 4, 2008 due to Alpha 1 Antripsin deficiency in Metairie, LA.  He was 59 years old. He was born on May 23, 1948 to Albert and Anna Jean (Hollis) Holt.

He is survived by his father, Al Holt; mother, Jean Holt; sisters, Linda Meyer and Catherine Wagner.
