William “Andy” Barnes of Canton, Georgia, passed away on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. He was 60 years of age.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Brenda Barnes; parents, James and Thelma Barnes; grandchildren, Alexis and Bret Brooks; children, Andrea (Blake) Brooks and Sharon Barnes; sister, Linda (Bob) Plasschaert; and brother, Mike Barnes. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, from Sosebee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Gayton officiating. Interment followed at the Georgia National Cemetery.

I looked forward to seeing Andy at school daily. He always had a great smile, was a very easy going guy and made everyone feel great about themselves. I have not spoken or seen Andy since I left Japan after our Junior year at Zama but everytime I page thru the Annuals, I smile when I see his photo. Bless you Andy.
