Robert was on the wrestling team and was very good. He yearned to learn as much as he could and always was asking questions to improve himself. His favorite opening line was "check this out!".Overall a nice young man that I enjoyed being around and was so sad to learn of his passing when I came back to Zama during a college break.
I always think so fondly of Robert. I remember that Robert & I were always talking about graduating and both of us had the same class ring - diamond square cut stone. I think we were the only two in our class that had bought that style. I would always follow his wrestling record. He was such a sweet, quiet and unassuming person. He was a great friend and classmate.
