Sadako "Sata" Wada Davis passed away on October 14, 2012, at the age of 89. She was residing in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Miss Wada (as many of us knew her) worked at the Zama schools for many years as the librarian and also teaching Japanese language classes. She and Mr. Davis met at Zama and married. (Mr. Davis passed away in 1998.)
She is survived by her two sisters in Japan, Sakato Inagai and Tetsu Wada; Mr. Davis' niece and nephews, Patricia Ann Mercer of Wyoming, John G. Davis Jr. of Dover and Paul G. Davis of Sudbury, MA; three great-nieces in the United States and two nephews and a niece in Japan.

Ms. Wada was always kind to me and willing to help. She always had a smile for anyone entering the Zama Middle School library.
