Gayle Steele (Snyder) (1966)
Loved Sandy's mischevious smile. It always looked like she had just done something really fun, but wasn't going to reveal details. I know how close you two were, Benny, and I am so sorry that she passed away so young. But Sandy was always someone I've never forgotten, so she muct have made quite an impression on me. Glad to have known her. Gayle SteeleC. Dee Ka'ala Carmack (1965)
Sorry to hear about Sandy's passing. She was part of the madcap crew back in the day at Zama. If she could have bottled even half of her energy, she could have been a millionaire several times over. As such, though, she made all our lives richer for having known her. Fun and Sandy are synonymous when I think of our time in Japan. May she rest in peace. aloha, Dee CarmackMaria Genco (Claire) (1965)
Sandy was one of those people who lit up a room. She was always smiling and happy, just so full of life. Her sense of adventure was contagious, and being in the company of Sandy was an invitation to break out of the box a little, to relax, dance and have a laugh. She was also patient and kind (as she had to be while teaching me to play Canasta!)and will be fondly remembered.Marie Claire (Genco)
Paul Bolinger (1964)
Wow! What a sad discovery going through the site. If you wanted an ounce of trouble, she would give you a pound and then more when you recovered. Those were definitely the good times and she helped keep them moving at high speed.
